Catit Foam/Carbon Filters (#55601) and the newer Catit Water Softening Filters (#55602), are both suitable to use with a Catit Senses fountain. The Foam/Carbon Filter removes debris from the water and absorbs impurities in the water. The Catit Water Softening Filters does this too, but in addition also removes magnesium and calcium from the water to reduce the risk of lower urinary tract diseases. The Water Softening filters also require less frequent changes than the Foam/Carbon filters.
